Tikwid Lyrics
Gonna make
Up today
Pumpkin (pumpkin) [note: Pumpkin is used as a name in a couple other AC songs]
And if they come for us
We'll hide in my jar
You and me
We've breaded our
Hands together
Hold till my blues fade
If they bawl
I feel like a ghost who's got a skeleton face
I'm gonna run behind you in the shadows place
And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm
It's a pie
And it's berries in my heart bread
Berries in my heart bread
You and me
Chained to the
Thumb piano (thumb piano)
Walk down streets
With red in our clothes
You and me
Under clear
Umbrellas
I said that once an eve
I'm drying your
Bones
I feel like a ghost, I've got the skeleton face
And I'll live in a house with a bunch of people
And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm
It's a pie
And it's berries in my heart bread
Said it's berries in my heart bread
You and me
Pushing a
Thumb pin (thumbpin)
When we're good and ready
We can swim in the flood
I feel like a ghost, I've got the skeleton face
I own a secret tomb and I'll never be late
And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm
It's a pie
And it's berries in my heart bread
Said it's puts berries in my heart bread
Tikwid
It glows
I know
You know
It glows
It glows
I know
You know
It glows
You and me
We're hooking our
Eyes a little (eyes a little)
In a tree
Where the arches gleam
Below
Our highs sing
With familiar creams
Swap around a little stall
Lean on me
And we can watch the sun
Build home
I feel like a ghost who's got a skeleton face
I crawl around behind you in the shadows place
And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm
It's a cry
And it's berries in my heart bread
Said it's berries in my heart bread
I feel like a ghost who's got a skeleton face
But now I live in a house with a country gate
And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm
It's a cry
And it's berries in my heart bread
Said it's berries in my heart bread

yeah I wonder if these are the actual lyrics because they seem a little absurd. (as if AnCo isn't absurd) not to take away from whoever submitted the lyrics. I simply just wonder if they are 100% accurate.
"And I can feel your rhythm if you feel my rhythm"
Love that line. To me it describes to people into each other that are just establishing the fact that they're on the same wavelength
Ahh Avey
@bottlerocket88 if they are accurate, they are a bit cryptic. if they are what they are here and it means what I think it means, I find it rather endearing and I can relate very well.

The chorus in this sounds great. I have no idea what it's about though.
brilliant song!!! Animal Collective are the best... Does anyone know when is the next album being released?
I think the song is (generally) about different aspects of a relationship with somebody. I'll pick some lines out to specifically analyze: "If they come for us."/"If they bawl": when people don't approve of your relationship or are jealous or whatever "Thumb piano": Remote control. Becoming that couple that just stays in all the time. "Red in our clothes": Being outcast for the relationship. Possibly a Scarlet Letter reference? "Drying your bones": Sex "When we're good and ready we can swim in the flood": Knowing that the relationship can move at the rate YOU want, not what other people expect (i.e. "when are you guys getting married?") And my favorite line, "Lean on me, and we can watch the sun build home": Another way of saying "we'll watch the sun rise"
I love this song to death. :)
something about this song.. over each hill it becomes epic again and again rolling in between the verses. it's gorgeous.
Listening to the motion of the lyrics is like watching the gerridae on a gently lively pond, grittiness and all. Though looking into the music as anything more than a surface for the lyrics to glide on is pretty futile in strophic form. It's an updated folk form, so the lyrics carry the wieght of the meaning.
I don't know that I trust these lyrics, but something I've thought a lot about is the title.I think it's a colloquial corruption of "tickweed," those weed-like flowers that litter rural highways.
I really like the "Berries in my heart bread." I feel it means, like let's say you're baking a lof of bread, and you decide to toss some berries in there, it becomes infitely better. This song is so pure and uplifting, as are many of their songs. Love it =^)
This song is a love song. The chorus sounds/feels so good because it is the resonance of love.
Truly genius, simply. extraordinarily simple.
yes, but what does tikwid mean?
