Watch Me Rise Lyrics
"goddamn", he said, "i promised myself i'd never feel this fucking way
again, this world has got me praying on my knees for one peaceful thought
in my mind, my stride, my life, my time is consumed with a thousand thoughts
flying free like a flock of birds with no direction or intention of finding home
its so hard to think, its so hard to change
when this world doesnt see you any other way
in this world, they choose to see me, they choose to see me
like a setting sun
so its up to me, i have to see me, i have to see me
like the rising one
in my days somebody told me that the rain would always come,
always come to wash away the pain
but nothing changes and this world still wants me down
wants me down on my knees praying in that rain
born this way, die this way"
id rather die on my feet, than live on my knees
id rather die on my feet(repeated).....than live on my knees
id rather die on my feet...so you can watch me, you can watch me
watch me rise with the things we carry:
the loss, the scars, the weight of heavy hearts
so i say to the slaves of depression : carry on...
and sing the sweet redeeming song....
about living this life free and long
watch me, watch me, watch - me - rise", for Miles and miles

My favorite song by Have Heart.
It's a bit complicated and ties together the running theme of the album.
In the beginning, he's feeling like he's failed again. He feels the depression and frustration he's sworn off.
He knows the world sees him as a failure and just some punk kid with no future, but he knows the truth. He has to work hard to erase that image.
The world tries to convince him that his life choices are futile, but he declares he will go down swinging. The end can be summed up with "my life, my choice." He's gonna be himself no matter what, no matter how much it hurts.
fucking best song gave me shivers live
its about the world bringing you down and making everyone live the same life but he's not giving up and he's proving the world wrong
Uh0hmandy
its more like, hed rather die voicing his opinion with dignity than pretending to believe someone elses opinion.
its about suffering from depression.
the strong holds of feeling horrible like the world is caving in on your and the rains never washing the pain away.
"so i say to the slaves of depression : carry on..."
the stigmatism's of depression. the world thinking that your a head case that your down and out forever. e.g
"in this world, they choose to see me, they choose to see me
like a setting sun"
and that he wont give up he'll fight it forever and live his life and not let himself succumb to the heavy burden he struggles with everday.
"its so hard to think, its so hard to change
when this world doesnt see you any other way"
this kid has a fucking way with words
the part where he says "i'd wrather die on my feet than live on my knees" is he talking about religion and not believing in god?
probably my favorite song by them. one of their several hardcore anthems.
