War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover) Lyrics
Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.
Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.
Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,

he's calling politicians "war pigs" and showing how cruel they treat the people the rule over. but the last verse shows that they will all get what they deserve in the end.
A popular cover song, originally done by Black Sabbath in 1970 "It's about the sad shape that our world is in." (Ronnie James Dio, 1992).
Gotta love the bass.
Cake version>Black Sabbath version in terms of vocals..sorry I really don't think ozzy does a good job on it at all.
I like the guitar in BS's version better...yet Cake has the kickass Trumpet work at the end.
Yea this song is about politicians who can start wars but never want to fight them
i don't know why but i think this song is about war
This song is more defined by the last stanza. No matter what evil is incurred upon humanity...God's judgement day will put it all to rest...assuming there really is a "GOD".
why does cake cover such boring songs. meh.
