All Over Me Lyrics

In the space between what's wrong and right,
You will find me waiting for you.
All your fortresses go down in the night. To the dawn I'll see you through.

'Coz I know, that you know, you're all over me now... and it's clear, you will show. Your curtains will go.

But if your heart is cold, my sheets are warm. I will shealter you through the storm. I will shealter you all through the storm.

Apologies, first off for the spelling error occuring twice in the last two lines...i had a mental blank...and ended up flipping a coin to determine how i would spell 'shelter'....unfortunately, it was just after the lyrics were posted that i recognised my error. Also, I have a slight hearing imparement, so if I have made further errors there, please forgive me.

Now, onto the song: I LOVE THIS SONG, it is awesome..short, but awesome! It features in the movie "Loving Annabelle" which i have not yet seen, but from what i've seen of the trailers it looks like a fairly interesting movie, well worth buying when it comes out on DVD. The reason it works so well, is that it portrays the feelings between Annabelle and Simone so perfectly...the meaning of the phrase to be "All Over" someone, is to be infactuated with them. "In the space between what's wrong and right, You will find me waiting for you"...this is again, the situation the women have found themselves in...the point where they must decide what is wrong and what is right....to consumate the relationship, or to let it go.

"Coz i know, that you know you're all over me now" is Annabelle saying to simone, "I know u know u like me". I assume the phrase "you will show, your curtains will go" is metaphoric for Simone's facade crumbling down..allowing herself to love Annabelle.

The last two lines are also wonderful in the imagery given to them by the movie...Annabelle has pointed out simone's hard heart towards a relationship with her and has offered a solution for her to be free....i doubt i need to explain the meaning of "my sheets are warm" in terms of the escape she's offering..it's blatantly put by annabelle, yet it has a romantic air to it, which i find amazing....as even tho this is the love between a teacher and her student, at no point does it seem that Simone (the teacher) is a predator or taking advantage of Annabelle (student)..rather it seems annabelle is older than her years and more certain of the relationship... hence making any feelings simone has, perfectly rational.

Then, "I will shelter you through the storm. I will shelter you all through the storm"...i find these lines a very tender expression of love...these foreshaddow what is going to happen next. Annabelle is re-assuring simone that she does love and care for her and that this is not lust, rather it is love.

All in all i believe the song is about love, unexpected love...it encourages those to open their hearts and minds to all possible types of love... in more specific terms, homosexual love. Whilst it not considered moral, by traditional standards...it is love none the less.

If the answers aren't so easy to find, The questions will have to do. 'Cause I've lost myself deep in your eyes, My only fix is you.

CHORUS Cause I know, that you know, You're all over me now. And it's clear, you will show, And your curtains will close. But if your heart is cold, My sheets are warm. I will shelter you, Through the storm. I will shelter you, All through the storm.

Musical bridge

Say what I am, What we are, It's a start towards the truth. Taking my breath, With each delicate step In my heart it's you....

Wow it's really amazing how you can get that much out of a 1 and a half minute song. It's almost like you dissected the movie instead of the song.

This is one pretty amazing song. The way its used completes the movie in so many ways that i don't think it could be made any better. I completely agree with Viva_Italia18 all all song meaning. Can't be written out for you any better.

First off, a BIG thanks for everyone who commented... good to see I'm not the only one who likes this song and Loving Annabelle. lol....sorry if i did overlook the general purpose of the song and just tied it to the movie... I just rekon that this song and the movie go hand in hand so perfectly it would be inappropriate not to use the movie in the analysis....

The movie is well worth watching...it was hard to find the DVD as it was from a small label company (FQ) but it is out in some stores...

this isnt the full song. but it is an amazing song! i love it so much! its just about her telling her (loving annabelle) to stop fighting their love for eachother that is so obvious and that she will take care of her and genuinely truely loves her. omg that is the best movie EVER!!!

I'm trying to figure out if the version in the movie is the one sung by Danger Flowers, or if it's by the actress who plays Annabelle.
