Probably my favorite song between this and Goodbye Apathy. The quiet intensity at the beginning is rather amazing.

I don't see why people seem to think every song ever written is about a breakup...

I think that the song may be about confrontation in a relationship about a problem that he's finding with the person he's confronting, whether that be a girlfriend or just a friend it doesn't matter, and that when he tried to "paint the picture" (show what's wrong) they take it the wrong way and a lot of tension is caused. This songs about him pleading that he doesn't want to lose them, just to try and work out what's wrong.

I think it's defiantly about a long distance relationship. We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change it's like they will fight through the separation and live through it so they can, eventually be together.

I totally love this song...

I've looked and listened a thousand times, and i've decided it's describing how all they need is each others love and they'll be alright. They've realised that they are so different, but they cant escape one another - " You're an island and my ship has run aground" - they're stuck... but they love each other and decide they shouldn't say goodbye because the best thing is to be together...

I know this situation....its awful and amazing all at once.

this is my favorite on republic song, very good. think it's about a guy who went thorugh a breakup, but is realizing that him and his ex were meant to be. Not sure if she feels the same way, almost seems like he is trying to convince her this.
