Because You Are A Woman Lyrics
I only wanted to be closer to you
I thought I had something to prove
Instead I fled with my superstition
Because you are a woman
Now I was told since before I could speak
A man's emotions are what make him weak
I come to you more or less a humble man
Because you are a woman
And I find most of the time
I'm lost inside my own mind
Look all over, all over to find
It don't keep me satisfied
All the conquests that I construe
Fail miserably in front of you
Have you ever been loved by such a charismatic fool?
And I'm a sucker for your love
The self-centred strut and crowd the sidewalk
Parade and pose with phones and paper cups
You walk like truth through a world of fiction
Because you are a woman
And I find most of the time
It's all inside my mind
Look all over, all over to find
It don't keep me satisfied
And I find most of the time
I miss the way your body coils around mine
Slope of your shoulders, the curve of your spine
Because you are a woman
I change my strings and pack my suitcase
I'm always leaving for some other place
But I'll return to you again and again
Because you are a woman
Because you are a woman
I thought I had something to prove
Instead I fled with my superstition
Because you are a woman
A man's emotions are what make him weak
I come to you more or less a humble man
Because you are a woman
I'm lost inside my own mind
Look all over, all over to find
It don't keep me satisfied
Fail miserably in front of you
Have you ever been loved by such a charismatic fool?
And I'm a sucker for your love
Parade and pose with phones and paper cups
You walk like truth through a world of fiction
Because you are a woman
It's all inside my mind
Look all over, all over to find
It don't keep me satisfied
I miss the way your body coils around mine
Slope of your shoulders, the curve of your spine
Because you are a woman
I'm always leaving for some other place
But I'll return to you again and again
Because you are a woman
Because you are a woman

i think this song is about being lost and vunerable, and wanting the safe and warmth of love. I'm in two minds about this song tho, is he talking about a specific person and love by singing to a person, or is it simply him wanting any womans love?
i think it's this guy who was somewhat of a player "all my conquests i construe fail miserably in front of you" then he meets this woman who fits him perfectly. but he ended the relationship "and i fled with my superstition" scared that he might actually have real feelings, which he could not reveal. "A man's emotions are what make him weak" without her, he feels lost and doesn't know what to do.
but now he misses her, but can't get her, eventually deciding to leave.
