Hometown Lyrics

(Sung by Joe Romersa)

He spoke of tortured souls
So outrageous the toll
You can lose all you have
He refused to give in to the town that takes all
Survive, you must have the will
This movie doesn't end the way we want all the time
Then he shouts at the moon
She's gone, and fear has overcome
He was walking the mile, he was walking alone

So outrageous the toll
You can lose all you have
He refused to give in to the town that takes all
Survive, you must have the will
This movie doesn't end the way we want all the time
Then he shouts at the moon
She's gone, and fear has overcome
He was walking the mile, he was walking alone

Four and twenty deadbirds, they bleed upon the nest
There was no time for reason, they had no sign of a threat
Now it's too late, too late for me
This town will eventually take me
Too late, too late for me
This town will win

(spoken)
Through this fog they come along
Dark creatures singing a terrible song
The rest of the bar laughed at him
Only I felt my hope grow dim
They found him dead the very next day
"No more stories from him," I heard them say
We blamed bad luck for his fate
Only I felt terror so great

She and he will know
that someday all things will end

That misty night
That dismal moon
The dead search for their kin
While angels sing, in endless dark
The dead seek out sin

Silent hil is the greatest. And in this song, The singer is telling the listener about what harry dide, and harry here recieved the bad ending. like in this verse: Through this fog they come along Dark creatures singing a terrible song The rest of the bar laughed at him Only I felt my hope grow dim They found him dead the very next day "No more stories from him," I heard them say We blamed bad luck for his fate Only I felt terror so great

I'm not too sure it's about Harry because if he's in a bar rambling...where's Cheryl/Heather/Alessa?

Silent Hill. Simply the best series ever. I really like this song because it is outwordly just talking about how no one is safe from Silent Hill, even if you don't believe. On a metaphoric note, I believe that it could mean to keep your morals and believe in God. You think it's fun for a while but then, as time progresses, you feel dead. You die. When the guy talks about that low he is having everyone laughs. "She and he will know" --Alyssa

That part makes me shudder every time. Thanks to alyssaelaine for making me think about the meaning of the lyrics more deeply, I'd only really thought about them as a man near silent hill listning to another persons stories of the place.
