Little Guns Lyrics
Tiny people
With little guns
Little armies march
To little drums
What do they want?
What do they want?
Tiny soldiers
With little guns
Little tanks
No bigger than your thumb
They want you
Little people
With tiny brains
Little bullets flowing
In their veins
What do they want?
What do they want?
Little airplanes
With tiny bombs
Little squadrons
Dropping thimbles of Napalm
They want you, you
You you you you!
Tiny people
With little guns
Little armies march
To little drums
What do they want?
What do they want?
Tiny soldiers
With little guns
Little tanks
No bigger than your thumb
They want you, you
You you you you!
Tiny people

This is the greatest song ever. This just sort of reminds me of two brothers playing with toy soldiers and the older brother trying to freak the younger brother out. My brother would say stuff like that all the time to me. "THEY WANT YOU." I was scared of Transformers for a couple of years.
I don't have any confirmation of this, but check out a story by Stephen King called Battleground. It's in the Night Shift collection of short stories and involves a hit man who receives a package from the mother of a toy manufacturer that he had just killed. In it are hundreds of tiny soldiers with real (albiet small) weapons and equipment. Immeditely upon opening it they start attacking him. Can't think that it's just a coincidence.
I think its a song that mocks militarism. They belittle the idea of invading and going to war (at least unnecessarily) by basically calling the whole idea small minded, hence the use of words like tiny and small. Its basically making fun of people who simply think going to war will solve the world's or region's problems when in truth it can make things worse.
Or, its simply a song about tiny people going to war. I wouldn't put it past Oingo Boingo. :D
