Being one of my favourite instrumentals by DM I thought it deserves at least one comment.
To me it's an example of DM's ability to create wide and detailled acoustic landscapes of melancholy, yearning, hope and even humor.
I especially recommend the Bertrand Burgalat + A S Dragon version featured on the Maxi of Dream On. It's a hilarious conversion to a kind of 70's porn soundtrack with a driving rythm and kinky wahwah guitars.
Since there are no lyrics, a word to the title: It seems to me that the phrase "Easy, Tiger" comes from a movie or TV-show, meaning "Calm down, man", or so. If you know more please feel free to post a comment.
But it strikes me that in the title there is no comma between Easy and Tiger. So I find there is a little shift in the meaning, maybe having a sexual connotation, too. Again, if you have more information it's welcome.
Well, there you go: this Song is so connected to one of my darkest ages ever. I was 31, she was 41. She turned me inside out like an used sock, and I spent the best part of two years trying to forget her, or to find her back.. Into dark alleys, dark silent cities, empty echoing streets.. the same we once walked together. I stood silent under her Windows like a wolf staring at the moon.. How are hot 40-something ladies called, anyway?
