Intervention (Original version) Lyrics

King's taking back the throne
The people, they all grow
And choose what they want written on the stone
All quiet and alone

You can taste the fear
Lift me up and take me out of here
I know I want to fight, I want to die
Just tell me what to say

Working for the church while your family dies
Little baby sister going to lose her mind
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a hope

Hear the soldiers groan
All quiet and alone

Something in the air
The people they all sit and stare
And tell me what they point to tell me where
And tell me

Who's going to throw the very first stone?
Whose going to reset the bone?
Sitting with his head in a sling
I hear the soldier sing

Working for the church while your family dies
Little baby sister going to lose her mind
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a hope

Hear the soldiers groan
All quiet and alone

Sun, shine a light
Someone take me, teach me how to fly
And onto something for which I would die
But I just don't know what
And know I can taste the fear
Lift me up and take me out of hear
You make it all concise and clear
You know I'm going to fade

Working for the church while your family dies
Little baby sister going to lose her mind
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a hope
Hear the soldiers groan
All quiet and alone

I love how the same song sounds completely different here. This seems more reflective, even the way he sings it, almost like an old man...

I think the album version is a far better developed version of this song, although the original recording sounds great in its raw state. I suppose they're really like two different songs.

This song gives me the chills. Seriously, I get goosebumps. In my mind, I see the story of a broken soldier who is trying to take care of a family, his soul, and fight a war at the same time. He is failing at all three, and is losing hope. That is sort of my take on it. So tell me what you think of the song because i love hearing different and deeper perspectives than mine.

@FauxFox19 amazing sound. Brings tears to my eyes
