Its not selling out, its growing up
Were the words that fell from your fucking mouth
How can you throw away so much conviction
You are the weakest link
Your fucking number's up
You've lost sight and now apathy rules you
Admit your weakness to the evils of this world
Admit your weakness to be accepted
I hope you die
Confess youre fucking weakness
Its not selling out, its growing up
Were the words that proved you're nothing
Is this the only excuse you could come up with
For being a traitor
For being a liar
For being a sellout
For being a fucking sellout
Admit your weakness to the evils of this world
Admit your weakness to be accepted
I hope you die
Confess youre fucking weakness
You'll always be one step behind
You'll always be a wasted life
Were the words that fell from your fucking mouth
How can you throw away so much conviction
You are the weakest link
Your fucking number's up
You've lost sight and now apathy rules you
Admit your weakness to be accepted
I hope you die
Confess youre fucking weakness
Were the words that proved you're nothing
Is this the only excuse you could come up with
For being a traitor
For being a liar
For being a sellout
For being a fucking sellout
Admit your weakness to be accepted
I hope you die
Confess youre fucking weakness
You'll always be a wasted life

Definitely talking about breaking edge. Being Straight Edge and then breaking it is pretty much the definition of "selling out." And a lot of people do try and pass it off as "growing up," instead of admitting what it really is; a betrayal of all their old morales and beliefs...a.k.a. selling out. And I think that's basically the message that this song is trying to convey...except in a much more pissed off, violent way.
Great explanation. That's exactly what I would have said.
hell yeah. that hits it dead on. straight edge is a lifetime commitment, not just a month long thing.
