Here Come the Warm Jets Lyrics

Father, we've spent days on our knees
Gone in a year, for we've no where to be
Nowhere to be
Nowhere to be

Father stays, we're all on our knees
Down on our words and we've nothing to be
Nothing to be
Nothing to be

Father, down, we're all on our sails
Hail to our keys, but we've nothing these days
Nothing these days
Nothing these days

Father, give them straw men of faith
We're down on our knees and we've nothing to say
Nothing to say
Nothing to say

Father, down we're all on our saints Paid to appease though we've nothing these days Nothing these days Nothing these days

This song is named after the tone on Eno's guitar...I believe he referred to it as warm jet guitar.

I think it was actually Robert Fripp's guitar, but you have the right idea.

Then again, Eno also said the term was about taking a piss, so who knows.

This song is about "golden showers"

My Interpretation

He said this to Eric Tamm in his book about him (The Vertical Color of Sound) but a lot of times, I think Brian Eno is a bullshit machine when people ask him about his music. He said something completely different to someone else. (See above)

I always thought it was about wanking.

"We're down on our knees and have nothing to say - here come the warm jets!"

On an old Eno fan forum, someone demonstrated, through "remixing" with a common graphic equaliser, that there are two overlapping sets of lyrics being montaged - and in doing so he appeared to confirm that fabled "down on our worms...nothing to pee" lyric - about oral sex in public toilets.

It's an "end of war" song; a memorial to those who fought in the 2nd world war and those who survived there after. 11:11
