Message Sent Lyrics
Watch the wind, blow your cigarette smoke
Through my window and out to the sky
This message sent, drilled into your heart
And now the ink will fade before the night is through, I fear
Where were you when the cracks were forming?
Where were you when it all came down?
You were sleeping safe that morning
Holding insecurities that burrowed underneath your skin and fade away
All along, another twisted moment's gone
That will never pass this way again
And through it all, I thought there'd be some shred of hope
But faith, I've found, will do you in
And all the words that build up to
A bridge of hate between me and you
Will stumble, crack, and fail to fly
And now, my only one, where have you gone?
Are you another heart that I must say goodbye, my dear?
Where were you when the cracks were forming?
Where were you when it all came down?
You were sleeping safe that morning
Holding insecurities that burrowed
Goldaline, my dear, we will fold and freeze together
Far away from here, there is sun and spring and green forever
But now we move to feel for ourselves inside some stranger's stomach
Place your body here, let your skin begin to blend itself with mine
Waits for all the day
Don't you ever leave me
All the dreams that I -
Don't you ever leave
Through my window and out to the sky
This message sent, drilled into your heart
And now the ink will fade before the night is through, I fear
Where were you when it all came down?
You were sleeping safe that morning
Holding insecurities that burrowed underneath your skin and fade away
That will never pass this way again
And through it all, I thought there'd be some shred of hope
But faith, I've found, will do you in
And all the words that build up to
A bridge of hate between me and you
Will stumble, crack, and fail to fly
And now, my only one, where have you gone?
Are you another heart that I must say goodbye, my dear?
Where were you when it all came down?
You were sleeping safe that morning
Holding insecurities that burrowed
Far away from here, there is sun and spring and green forever
But now we move to feel for ourselves inside some stranger's stomach
Place your body here, let your skin begin to blend itself with mine
Don't you ever leave me
All the dreams that I -
Don't you ever leave

i really burnt(?) you i really made all your oh be us wrong wait around to hide you roll around and down and sings the sound and see which one gets off and i aint moving tell you something all that i want the world it all comes out and pulls it on to you
and now there is nothing oh, but the world that is coming see along the way and on the way and on and on
and i aint moving tell you something all that i want the world along the hole and load it on to you
and now there is nothing oh, but the weight that is coming see along the way and on the way and on and on...
*this would make a lot more sense as "that weight on it" but it REALLY sounds like upright to me. also it's probably not "lean" but i just can't quite make out the word.

Danielsville, GA (9/14/97) - Only one verse.
I really burnt you. I really made all you opiates? wrong. Wait around too much, you See it all go down and all around to see which one gets off.
And I aint moving. Tell You something. All that I feel the world was on and still and waiting on for you.
But now there is nothing, all but the weight that is coming. See it on the way and on the way and on and on.
Knitting Factory (8/1/96) - 2 verses, (nice drums, haha)
I really burnt you. I really made all you opiates? wrong. Wait around too much, you All the weight comes down and all around and see which one gets off.
And I aint moving. Tell You something. All that I feel is all that all the wheels are holding on to you.
And now there is nothing, all but the weight that is coming. See it on the way and on the way and on and on.
And I aint moving. Tell you something. All that i wanted was that all the weight, it all to fall on for you.
And now there is nothing, all but the weight that is coming. See it on the way and on the way and on and on.
The first knitting factory show and the one In Madison, WI are both quite jumbled. The beginning and refrain is the same, but the middle part where he seems to make up words is slurred. Anyways, i hope this does the job.
