The medicine is all we need
To keep us away and hidden
We can only see the sunset
We can never see the sunrise
In our funny little holes
We’re really quite alone
We’re just a sitting target
For your superiority
In our funny little homes
We’re really quite alone
We’re just a sitting target
For your superiority
The medicine is all we need
To keep us away and hidden
We can only see the sunset
We can never see the sunrise
In our funny little holes
We’re really quite alone
We’re just a sitting target
For your superiority
We’re really quite alone
We’re just a sitting target
For your superiority

This song sounds like a reference to Aldeous Huxley's "Brave New World" to me. The novel is set in the future where everyone takes a drug that keeps everyone calm and controlled essentially. The reality of their dull hell is not realized until one person finds leaks in their "system" of living. The lines "the medicine is all we need" and "in our funny little homes we're really quite alone" are definitely indicative of the reference.
This song is so dreamy and awesome that I'd imagine it's like an overdose of soma. Good call.
