Tearing Me Apart

At first this song didn't stick out to me because I didn't know the lyrics. One day I decided to listen, and I actually was able to get the lyrics down. After knowing the lyrics, I easily loved the song.

The song to me is about a guy (or girl) who has found someone special.

"Fingers tracing tracks on my face. Uncover the cracks in me."

The other person is bringing things out of him that he didn't think was there.

"You're tearing me apart. it's beautiful, it's beautiful. Beautiful at the start."

The Chorus means that she is tearing him down. Getting through the layers, and he loves it.

"Who would have known my heart is beating?"

The next lines after the chorus, he is talking about how he didn't know he had all of this things inside of him. He didn't know until she started to tear him apart.

"I was dreaming we were older. You were laughing and I woke up. Covered in one sleeping breath, the night before I left New York. I have to catch a plane to Jacknife, but I'll be back soon."

The next verse is how she is always on his mind. He dreams about her and doesn't want to leave her presence even for a little while.

Easily the best song...ever. Vega4 is the best, they are amazing performers. The idea that someone is bringing out his weakness making him that much more of an open, loving person is such a great concept. These lyrics seriously changed the way I look at love! If you've ever been so in love with someone and traced your fingers on their face, this song will just break you into little tiny pieces and leave you to pick yourself up. That amazing.
