Feel Like A Number Lyrics

I take my card and I stand in line
To make a buck I work overtime
Dear sir letters keep coming in the mail
I work my back till its racked with pain
The boss cant even recall my name
I show up late and Im docked
It never fails
I feel like just another
Spoke in a great big wheel
Like a tiny blade of grass
In a great big field
To workers Im just another drone
To ma bell Im just another phone
Im just another statistic on a sheet
To teachers Im just another child
To irs Im just another file
Im just another consensus on the street
Gonna cruise out of this city
Head down to the sea
Gonna shout out at the ocean
Hey its me
And I feel like a number
Feel like a number
Feel like a stranger
A stranger in this land
I feel like a number
Im not a number
Im not a number
Dammit Im a man
I said Im a man

This is an anti-capitalism song. In the capitalist system we have in the USA, the great majority of people who are oppressed, are really just numbers. Only a few benefit from capitalism. Capitalism has never worked in any country to provide wealth and happiness, and the majority of people are slaves working to produce wealth to be enjoyed by the capitalist oppressors. Something has to give !!

@MarxistChavizta; what a douche, hey how's it going in Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea? You dumb @$$, socialism is great till you run out of other people's money. With Communism and socialism you have an elite group ( the political class ) that Have and own everything, and then you have the people who cannot obtain anything but a meek existence the haves allow them to attain. You are what you make yourself in this country if you don't like it leave.

Seger's father, a medical technician for the Ford Motor Company, played several instruments and Seger was exposed to music from an early age.Seger was also exposed to frequent arguments between his parents that disturbed the neighbourhood at night. In 1956, when Seger was 10 years old, his father abandoned the family and moved to California. The remaining family soon lost their comfortable middle-class status and struggled financially.

It's your opinion, it's not the best song ever. "Against The Wind" and "Turn The Page" are probably his best, according to the fans.

Now, what we post here IS opinions, correct? Or did I miss that one? Against the Wind is OK, Turn the Page sucks. How's that for some opinions?
