A restless beauty riddled with some bruises & broken bones
A mother can't recognize her only daughter...

Was it really worth it?

So you had these dreams?
Just look at what you've done!

Don't ever put the key in the ignition
One is too many, and a thousand is never enough

Metal against metal
Misfortunate death
Inflicted by consumption of your poison

So you had these dreams?
Just look at what you've done!

Floating away from me
I can see myself

Reflection in a mirror
I've tried to run but you're so far away

Hold your hands closer to feel my heart beating..
Hold your hands closer to feel me

One day you'll see me in the clouds watching over you

I believe this song is about how a mother who was drinking and driving and is now in a coma because of it ("Don't ever put the key in the ignition", "Inflicted by the consumption of your poison") And I think they had the writer of this song or someone else in the car who has died from this accident while driving with the drunken mother (Was it really worth it?" "Misfortunate death" "Floating away from me" "I can see myself" "One day you'll see me in the clouds watching over you")

You're sort of right...I'm pretty sure it's about a mother losing her daughter in a drinking and driving accident.

    zpope89 is right.

My favorite part is at 0:30 when he repeats "a mother can't recognize her own daughter". It kinda reminds me of Converge at that point.

def. sounds like a mother drunk driving.. but to the point where she doesnt recognize her daughter... most likely the mother may have gotten brain damanged of some sorts

You're all correct about the mother drinking and driving and having an accident. the daughter is in a coma and dying and the mother is having to watch in regret of what she did. But not being able to recognize the daughter was not because of brain damage, it's just saying that the daughter is so fucked up the mother can barely tell who it is. I also think it's saying that even though the mother knows that it is her fault, she still can't stop drinking no matter how hard she tries.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
