7861 Lyrics

7861 Blackthorne. They found the body. Hanging from the ceiling. Once again staring down at a casket... Run far away from the casket. Don't let me go back inside. Now are you set free? Now that you left us in your cage. Once again something apart of my life dies again, and lives again.

What made you decide that the only way is the wrong way? Was it the thought of failure? Or was it the girl? Or was it the drugs that became your friends that night? Look at you now. Look what you've done. I can't promise you a rose garden.

Can you see her? (This vision with closed eyes) Watching you (I'm not ready for this) Through her eyes (It's time for the final act) Can you see? Do you believe? Will you save me? (As the curtains closed)

Now don't ever hear me wrong. These years have passed me by. And I'm still wondering why? Why a man would take his life? I still love you my friend. They look at me now. They know what I've done. They can't promise me a rose garden.

Can you see her? (This vision with closed eyes) Watching you (I'm not ready for this) Through her eyes (It's time for the final act) Can you see? Do you believe? Will you save me? (As the casket closed)

As you struggle within your noose, what was your last thought? Just cut your rope... You could of been saved... Just cut your rope.

Sounds like someone commited suicide by hanging themselves at 7861 Blackthorne ("7861 Blackthorne. They found the body. Hanging from the ceiling.") possibly due to too much pressure put on him to succeed in life ("Was it the thought of failure?") a breakup ("Or was it the girl?") or drug abuse ("Or was it the drugs that became your friend that night?") and his friend cant understand why anyone would kill themself ("And still I'm wondering why? Why would a man take his life?")

i agree for the most part all though i think 7861 blackthorne is not the mans real address

the song is about one of the lead singers best friends commiting suicide....it's the lead singers point of view pretty much..if you watch the video the meaning behind the whole mailbox thing is..the lead singers friend talked to him about it and the lead singer left him a message either on myspace or AIM or something like that and his friend didn't read it in time and commited suicide

There is actually a video for this song. good video for one even better song. but yes at the end it gives you a number or something for an anti suicide hotline.

I actually talked to the lead singer after one of their shows, and he was telling us about this song. he was saying how his one friend in highschool commited suicide, and one day he went back to the house, and as you's know the address is 7861 Blackthorne, Ohio i think thats enough said the song is pretty much self explained

Yah, I figured that the part with the rose garden is some kind of suicide note. Thought the video hinted on it.

ok, first of all, just so you all know this is actually a christian band. and this song is telling a story about how one of their friends commited suicide by hanging themselves at 7861 blackthorne. anyway, this song is also talking about how if you commit suicide you automatically go to hell. ["i cant promise you a rose garden" aka heaven] hes also asking the Lord to save him, and how if the friend wouldnt have commited suicide he/she too could have been saved. I LOVE THIS SONG!!

ok... i have to kinda go back on what i said here... cuz i found out just today that this band actually is not christian! which sucks cuz that woulda been cool, but whatever! they still rock!!!!!!!!!!
