Divine Romance Lyrics

The fullness of Your grace is here with me
The richness of Your beauty's all I see
The brightness of Your glory has arrived
In Your presence God, I'm completely satisfied

For You I sing I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
Lift my heart and my hands
To show my love, to show my love

A deep deep flood, an Ocean flows from You
Of deep deep love, yeah it's filling up the room
Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life
In Your presence God I'm completely satisfied

imarryddavegrohl, it is not a religious song. religion is all about keeping laws and trying to be perfect. this song is about a relationship. that is what christianity is all about, having a relationship with God.

I find the utmost beauty in the analogy for the Christian's relationship to Christ which exists in marriage. This song is beautiful, as it speaks of the "divine romance" we have with Christ.

It makes me think of the verse in the Bible in which it speaks of the day coming when we will see Christ face to face...oh! I can hardly wait.

I love this song it's pretty much self expanitory. he's saying he's living for christ. and he doesnt want anything more.

this song to me tells of how christ is always with us. and how he is everything were ever going to need. he'll always be there for us, and is willing to do what it takes to satisfy every need.

This song is SO amazing...whenever I listen to it I keep playing it several times in a row because it just fills me with awe and wonder, and a yearning to have that kind of relationship with God.

Wow. This song is so incredible. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING can ever come close to the satisfaction that comes in having a relationship with Christ. It reminds of a quote by C.S. Lewis.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing. ~ C. S. Lewis

I love his choice of words: "fullness," "richness," "brightness"....

The rest of the world is so convinced that God means an absence of these things. So either Phil is lying, crazy, or the world is missing out on Someone absolutely incredible.

"Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life In Your presence God I'm completely satisfied"

Incredible.

Well said, pr1nc355!

I love this song so much. It's amazing, and just makes me feel so, so lucky to have the opportunity to know God, love God, and to have Him love me. Me! A sinful, imperfect person.

Amazing.

I wish this wasn't a religious song...I'd have so much more respect for it. FUUUUUUCCCCK.

I saw that you wrote this a couple years back. I was honestly shocked when I first read it. Then I kept quite, because I myself have been doubting God for a month or so. When I read your cmnt, I couldn't believe it had been over a month! I've gone through things I wish upon any being. I know I wouldn't have made it through without my savior. I'll be praying for you.

hope all is well.
