This song is clearly about the unjustified violence on the streets. The friend and the boy in the news were both assaulted for no reason while walking to their homes, and the singer is obviously afraid of having to keep his kids indoors just because of the fact that maniacs roam all the streets.

I love this song because its such a sad reflection of the times we live in. Just pointless violence. And chavs wonder why everyone hates them!? xxx
