Reminds me of how I felt about the girl my ex dated after me. The girl before me tried to warn me about him, and then when I didn't listen, I had to go through hell with him, and wound up trying to warn the girl after me. Apparently it's happened to him a lot.

I mean, I moved on and all. The guy I dated after him was the best ever (this also happens to him a lot), and we're married now. But I cringe every time I see that he's found a new girl.

It is "But you can't think we fell in love" Not bet. That one word changes the whole song. I always thought it was about an attraction, mainly physical but it wasn't love. Maybe an affair because of the "at least I tryed to tell her about you." "what a surprise you lost your soul i tried and fell short and now that your blind you cant ignore" I think its like he tryed for love but fell short so it's no suprise she lost herself and is all alone now. Now that she's blind she can't ignore what they had. Only I think blind means completely clear headed. Then the "right before your eyes, how do you do" is saying well this is where we stand we might as well go on from here. That's my interpretation more or less. Love the song. I even think the instrumentals tell the story very well.

I think it's their best song.I love it.
