Success Story Lyrics
I'll catch the 9:30 to anywhere,
From the city who loves me,
And the people who care.
I'll head towards the West coast
For something new;
There's not a sign right ahead,
And nothing left to lose
But still I'm blue
And this is what I have to do.
And I, don't wanna lose another year.
Wherever I go,
I always find myself back here.
The old box full of polaroids sits on my shelf
With the pictures of the first time we took the city by ourselves
And the whole ride home
We played "Konstantine"
And I walked you to your doorstep
And you kissed me in the rain, my lucky day
I still spell konfusion with a "k"
And I, don't wanna lose another year.
Wherever I go,
I always find myself back here.
And all the nights we spent
Just watching TV in your room
All the days we lost
Thinking that we couldn't lose
And I look back at the stupid things I used to do
And I wouldn't change,
I wouldn't trade,
A thing.
All I got to show, is my stupid bruise
And I, don't wanna lose another year.
Wherever I go,
I always find myself back here.
Bababababa...
(And I, don't wanna lose)
Dadadada...
(another year...)
Dadadada...
(wherever I go...)
Dadadada...
(I always find myself back here...)
From the city who loves me,
And the people who care.

I don't know why that posted twice, or why it didn't add the rest of my comment, but I had a meaning to it as well:
I think it's about someone leaving his hometown, and then coming back a year later and realizing what he missed and how much he actually missed everything, and how great all the memories were that he made there, and he's saying he never wants to miss another moment, he never wants to miss another year, he never wants to leave again.
this would be a good song for October Road

"spell confusion with a 'k'" is also a line from Amber Pacific's song poetically pathetic.
but it's originally from Something Corporate's Konstantine, which is what they're referring to.

Konstantine is an amazing song. It's becoming my #2 most played song on my iPod. Even though the song is 9:35, it's so good, it doesn't bother me. SoCo should get back together. This song is pretty good too. This was the first song I've ever heard from Holiday Parade. I expect good things from them.
They kind of have that slow piano vibe that SoCo had.. love the song. I was even thinking that before I heard the Konstantine reference... and like all of you, that made me smile. I had that SoCo broke up... but William and Andrew are making great music separately. Anyway, Holiday Parade. Love
