I'd like to know what 'Sin Skinner' really means.
At first thoughts it might be someone who takes all the blame, all the 'sin' away. Essentially a scapegoat or person there to help - "Let me be your friend, I'm here to heal the sand." and "I'd like to understand, let me hold your hand." - a companion who is truly there for them, to deal with all their problems?
Perhaps ultimately this was not enough - "It is your life they took" and "Don't tell the world good-bye!".
"Keep my integrity intact" although counteracts this idea, as your intergrity will no doubt be lost if you are blamed for another's problems.
