Cassandra Geminni: Multiple Spouse Wounds Lyrics
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
No there's no light
No there's no time
No you ain't got nothing
Your life was just a lie
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches
No there's no light
No there's no time
No you ain't got nothing
Your life was just a lie

Hm, Well, this is the real lyrics:
No there's no light In the darkest of your furthest reaches No there's no light In the darkest of your furthest reaches No there's no light In the darkest of your furthest reaches No there's no light In the darkest of your furthest reaches No there's no light
No there's no light No there's no time No you ain't got nothing Your life was just a lie
this is the best track on the record, and its not amazing. After De-loused, mars volta let me down. sad times
dude... after de-loused LIFE let me down. nothing was, is, or will be better than de-loused. even a 5-some with 4 of the hottest women on the planet and me
ROFL. I don't know what you guys don't like about Frances the Mute. I think De-Loused was better, but it's still a damn good album.
I love how they bring the original melody back in this section as sort of a full circle ending to the song. And when he starts singing the, "No there's no light, no there's no time, you ain't got nothing, your life was just a lie" in the background, I almost get goosebumps. The lyrics coupled with the way he sings it at that part just describes a feeling of desperation, like nothing you've ever done was worth anything.
Kickass.
Still such a lovely track, came out as a cry for help? naw im probably wrong.
My brother says this song is perverted, he says he thinks he knows what ""The darkest of your most furthest reaches" are
Pretty sure Multiple Spouse Wounds is AIDS.
The melody of this is a perfect loop - there seems to be no point at which one repetition ends and another begins. it just seems to continue around in a big loop. hard to explain, but its very effective i think.
Wow, there are some really off guesses here. The whole album is based on a diary late band member Jeremy Ward found in a car he repossesed while working as a repo man. The diary contained entries about a main character's search for his parents throug various people (the album's song titles). As for what "the darkest reaches..." or the song title means, it's anyone's guess (though I believe MSW is a reference to a parental split), but I don't think it's sexual.
dunno how the lyrics are hard to figure out. it's obviously "no there's no light / in the darkest of your furthest reaches."
good jams though. great album.
