Rusted Silhouette Lyrics
A rusted silhouette embracing burning filament
A verbal avalanche is serving up your innocence
I said where'd you lose your mind
A brush with synergy, you cam back all delirious
A Texas ranch, a little dance, they'll take you serious
I said where'd you lose your mind
So you're on the rise the wait is over
Hey there lucky one I'm coming over
Well I would like to take some time and tell you what I really want to say
And so my dear, it seems so clear
It wouldn't really matter anyway
Standing in the bathroom, reflections that you'd never guess
Who would have ever thought that you would end up such a mess
I said where'd you lose your mind
So Amy, say you'll stay with me
I am all alone
So you're on the rise the wait is over
Hey there lucky one I'm coming over
Well I would like to take some time and tell you what I really want to say
Say that I'm liking the company
more than they sympathy symphony
When I take what you give to me it's easy
But the longer I wait for this moment to break me
I'm fine living a lie
Wondering why
Thinking it's over
Now what have I done
Maybe I just shouldn't have told her
to be
true

This song reflects who I was at one point in my life. I once felt like a rusted silhouette. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Drake Bell for writing this song! THANK YOU!
"A Texas ranch, a little dance, they'll take you serious"
I believe this line is a reference to the night Drake Bell walked in on his lover Alex Turner ramming Ryan Ross at their isolated ranch in Texas.
Is this true?
Is this true?
...Can I pretend it is?
...Can I pretend it is?
Is it like him having a relation which is not going well because they don't love each other and when he wants the truth she dumps him and he regrets or something, i'm not sure
well, to me this song is about a love that it's not corresponded the first part talks about them knowing each other... then it says "So Amy, say you'll stay with me" she leaved him, and then it explains: " Well I would like to take some time and tell you what I really want to say Say that I'm liking the company more than they sympathy symphony" this means that he loved her more than his music, and he was capable of leaving music just to be with her... "I'm fine living a lie Wondering why Thinking it's over Now what have I done Maybe I just shouldn't have told her to be true" this last part means that he regrets about asking her if she loved him, because the answer was no.. so he says he would prefer have lived a lie... so in resume this song is about a couple where the girl doesn't love him, and when he asks about if she loved him or not, she leaves him..
