Arizona Lyrics
It makes it all worth it
Just to step into
Pacific time
At six AM
It pacifies
Surrounded by
Flat top unreasonable views
Useless mock mountains
Where air dried our skin like alcohol
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Nothing ever gets to her
Yeah nothing ever gets to her here
She never leaves still
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
Just to step into
Pacific time
At six AM
It pacifies
Flat top unreasonable views
Useless mock mountains
Where air dried our skin like alcohol
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Yeah nothing ever gets to her here
She never leaves still
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake

I'm pretty sure the lyrics are:
It makes it all worth it Just to step into Pacific time At six AM It pacifies
Surrounded by Flat topped unreasonable mutes Useless mock mountains Where air dried our skin like alcohol

Absolutely beautiful song! I love the violin, this song just puts you into a slow drone head nod at some points of the song, one of the reasons why I love Sharks Keep Moving. Could this song be talking about the boring city scapes that could never compare to the natural ones we have around us? Save for some spots, the west is really losing it's natural beauty, and even if the natural beauty is there, people just stay in cities where they become lifeless busybodies.
i see what you mean by the city-scape not equaling up to landscape. i, however, originally pictured the useless plateaus that are in the desert climate (which dries skin) of arizona trying to equal up to mountains when they clearly aren't. but you're probably right, the rest of the song seems to follow your connection. i suppose i saw the song as a cynic singing it when it's probably more of a realist who knows better things exist.
this is what perfection must sound like
