Looking Glass

Alice In Wonderland song, don't get me wrong White Rabbit is good but this song sums up the book not the disney version

This song, like the Alice books themselves, probably has a lot of interpretations. The lyrics and the tune are eerie enough. That's another thing - this is called “Looking Glass”, like "Through the Looking Glass", but the story being described is "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", the prequel, and there are deviations (the flowers in the garden were no help, say)

Is it really just a summary of the books? I'm not sure; there's probably a message, especially in the last stanzas. Could the looking glass be describing just that – a mirror? “And life will always get twisted/ When you're living it through the looking glass” Vanity. “Lose your youth, cause beauty is truth/ It's just harder to swallow” Lose your youth for beauty – children, little Alices, race to become the beautiful men and women of the world.

It seems it is about the effect of drugs, think about it. "There's a place where the garden can take you"- can grow drugs in a garden, when you take drugs they take you away. "Chase away all the funny pain"- they make you feel different and get rid of pain "Lose your youth, cause beauty is truth"- drugs can destroy your apearance and kill you when your young.

Anyhoo I think It has alot to do with the movie... but since it's been forever since I've actaully seen the movie I'll just tell you what i think... maybe later I'll tell the lryics to the movie meaning

My thoghts alone on the song;

"There's a place where the garden can take you Through the looking glass" ------> I'm guessing it's saying more or less their a way to become what you've once desired and what I'd say is that "Something BIG" Is being a Celeberaty/Politic something with power or seeming nice, The Place can take you inside Of what you've always been LOOKING INTO(/wanting to be or admired)

"Find a way with the plants - they can take you To your path"----> (Once again I'm not sure here's it goes); OK so you've always wanted to be part of the THE GLASS(of what'd always looked into) and these "Platns"=Human/bussiness people(or)Right people and they will show you of what path you need to take to enter the Looking Glass(/Your goal of celebarty's or politics)

"Chase away all the funny pain Down the rabbit hole And another world awaits behind the little door"--------> (Two ideas about this); After all the hardship, You go down unexpectally to the top(Or down ^^'') to your goal and so you pain dissapears for the moment but... you've never fix your problem. > While you're there and already on top.... Everything is fine but once the "Queen"= A Majority/Powerful person is against, Obvoulsively You're not welcome...

"And life will always get twisted When you're living it through the looking glass"----> [1]Everybody who is everybody knows that life isn't easy... things are not simple as black or white and things come to surprise us but luckily... we can easily be ingorant (in some sense) and not take notice.[Chorus] More or less this is saying Life is twist when you living outside the fame(GLASS) and looking at it........ But when you're living IN(or through) the Looking Glass, well Thing that Can happen Will happen... things that we see outside aren't at all as they appear... and so it's all so twist and wrong

"There's a that cat smiles like The crescent moon" (The Chesire cat Instead of repeating your mistake (or if able to go back in time and never do it ever), you don't go to follow you curosity="Rabbit" just to go to the Place="Rabbit Hole" which leads you where you are now... [2nd idea] Possible the "Rabbit" is the meaning of curiosity(of course) of the "Rabbit"=A person whom seems inoccent and honest... that leads you where you are now.

"Lose your youth, cause beauty is truth It's just harder to swallow"--->(I'm not exactly sure who...) The "Person/Rabbit" that may have lead you here where you are now... tell you "OK This is the truth... But can you bear it?" So you know that if you'd accept the truth, you lose you're blissful look but being blissfully ingorant isn't beatiful... But in the ned it's more if you can take it/// If it's The Chesire Cat I'm guessing one way or another He told you these exact words... Truth if beuatiful... but overbearing at times

"So go and ask Alice Why the hatter is mad" She'll turn when you see her And laugh And Laugh"---> You finally go and ask her, but instead of answering you... she laughs if sincerely or madly we don't know... You never find out your answer... But if sencery... She's keeping the secret to herself but you know it too somehow but not in words.... but if madly... well the hatter and her are mad together... knowing something only they could every know... and I'm guessing that you know don't know and fear or pity her

"All are welcome in Wonderland 'Till the queen screams off with your head And life will always get twisted When you're living it through the looking glass" [just like i'd said above] but to put it simplier; Everybody is allow to join in to becomming into something big in this paradise but intill the Queen goes agaist you, which makes life twist and bitter as nothing is like what is how we see it in the looking glass

"There's a place where the garden can take you Through the looking glass" At the very end of the song it gives you an idea of the story starting over again... and you know it going to happen as you watch that person start the life you did and what Alice did before you.....
