Beware of the Dog Lyrics

Listen to me

Do you know how much you want it?
You're trying to be cool about it
You're trying to big about it
You're constantly just denying
You're like a moth to a flame
You hardly wane
But listen 'cos I know what I'm saying

He's trying to catch you in it
And then he'll back you in it
Cos he's just another girl addict
And if you give it away
You've gotta be crazy...crazy

Stop!
You better shake him off
Before he gets ya
(He's coming to getcha, he's coming to getcha)
Stop!
He'll only build you up
And then he'll getcha
He's dirty to the bone - beware of the dog!

I was damn near addicted
I got into trouble with him, I got in the bubble with him
Everything was just how he wanted
Oh but then I got wise
I got out of sight
So take my advice

Chorus x 2

I know you hear me
I know you hear me - I KNOW YOU HEAR ME!
Arr! Arr!

You better reach out and touch me!
(Reach out and touch me)

Chorus x 4

Beware of the dog...
Beware of the dog...
Beware of the dog...

it sounds like depeche mode's personal jesus. did she take a sample? and the line Reach out and touch me! sounds like its a play on reach out and touch faith!

By using that tune I'm guessing she's trying to get at the person who the song was originally by? Can't quite tell whether it's meant to be Depeche Mode or Marilyn Manson. Either way, she sucks.

A complete rip off of depeche modes personal jesus. Apart from whereas that was a great song, this is garbage. One of these days she might actually release an original song instead of cover versions and rip offs.

i agree with mark1975 and aliasneo. she's commercialised the song to such an extent it's awful.

Does no one here know what a sample is? WITH PERMISSION, she used the music to Depeche Mode's hit Personal Jesus (only "covered" by the epic Marilyn Manson). And Dave Gahan, lead singer of DP, co-wrote her hit
