The Narcoleptic Lyrics
Driving late at night
and I'm falling asleep
your pills barely keep me awake
dreaming of dragons carrying away
princesses in my mind
drinking from fountains, pipe dreams wade
making ripples in my pool
this is something you can't deny
you're freaking me out
every fairy tale needs a hero like me
to work things out
I gotta work it out
the queen says she needs me
to rescue her tall towers
but I say "some other time"
This is something I can't deny
it's seeking me out
every woman and child
needs a hero like me to save them all
I better work my stuff
No thanks really....
and I'm falling asleep
your pills barely keep me awake
dreaming of dragons carrying away
princesses in my mind
drinking from fountains, pipe dreams wade
making ripples in my pool
you're freaking me out
every fairy tale needs a hero like me
to work things out
I gotta work it out
to rescue her tall towers
but I say "some other time"
it's seeking me out
every woman and child
needs a hero like me to save them all
I better work my stuff

Since nobody posted here, I thought I would mention, that I think this song sounds alot like Radiohead. So if you like Radiohead, give this song a listen.
after the last line, they sing "que sera sera". this song seems pretty straightforward. he drifts off to sleep and is dreaming. in his dream, he's the hero. but when someone actually calls upon him for help- "the queen", he refuses to rescue her. then, in the last stanza, he admits that he needs to work on himself."que sera sera- whatevever will be, will be". perfect ending.
