He is sad because his girlfriend just broke up with him but he doesn't want to be alone because it was her that ruined the relationship, not him and now he is feeling alone and embarassed and he knows that shes with another guy now, like she was just using him or just dumped him for another guy
Great song by mr mccartney :D His girlfriend broke up with him, and is dating another guy, and he's feeling upset. He feels like he's the only person who's feeling like that, and all he wants to do is get over her. Or that's how I see it, anyway!
i love this song;; what im getting from this, is that a guy loves his girlfriend. and he keeps getting this feeling that she doesnt feel the same back. like he keeps giving but isnt getting anything back from her. and he held off saying anything for the longest time. "but i refuse to see it all for what it was.". snd hes just overall tired of feeling like she doesnt care anymore. -i know there are plenty more interps. of this song,this is just mine.hope it helps someone! :)
This song is incredible and really shows some emotions that a lot of people feel.
It's about a guy who has stong feelings for a girl. She leaves him behind, but always comes back {"It's not the first time that she's walked away..."}. He was too in love to see what was happening, but now that he thinks she's gone for good, he realized she never cared for him to begin with.
I've been there... and this song (as cheesy as this may sound) really helped me put things into perspective.
