Well I feel like everyone above has a point, music is a great thing because you can interpret it however you would like. But everyone is missing the true essence of pepper. Yes its a messed up relationship, but no the guy isn't feeling bad about what is happening and no the girl isnt playing him(honestly guys? have any of you seen pepper live? I have never heard of them talk about the girl that got away. This isn't some emo band.) He is either using a girl as a drunk hook up, or he is just using the girl as a way to get sex. Either way it isn't about a bad relationship for him. It’s more than less about him using the girl to get what he wants. And the way she is reacting to it. He is getting exactly what he wants and she tries to make him feel bad about it.

I believe its about going back to the same person over and over because you cant get enough of them, you get the green light everytime you see them. That in the morning you hope they want to stay and make something out of this hookup, but you know that theres going to be pain in the end. Your friends are telling you to stay away from this person, but you wont listen even if it means losing some of them over it. They were chasing you and now youre chasing them, and the reason they wont stay is because you hurt them in the first place. so no matter how much you chase them now its never gonna work.
