Death to Inconvenience Lyrics
I'd take it back to have the chance
To see her laugh, to see her dance
You, you never told me it would be so hard
And now you're saying you can't stay
You can't stay so get away
This bedroom tells of our mistakes
Perfume and innocence to take
I am in love but not enough to wait
So take, take your place down on my bed
I am not the same man that you met
I'll be your lover but I'm not your friend
So let's go all the way
Let's go all the way
This dark road will lead right where we want to be
You're driving so take the wheel
I'd take it back to have the chance
To see her laugh, to see her dance
You, you never told me it would be so hard
And now you're saying that you can't stay
You can't stay so get away
This clinic smells of death and shame
Misguided women with no names
I guess the children are the ones to blame
I'll drop you off, be back in ten
We'll never see this place again
We will recover but we won't repent
So let's go all the way
Let's go all the way
This dark road will lead right where we want to be
You're driving so take the wheel
You're driving so take the wheel
You're driving so take the wheel
You're driving so take the wheel, oh
You're driving so take the wheel, oh
You're driving so take the wheel, oh
You're driving so take the wheel
So take the wheel
So take the wheel
To see her laugh, to see her dance
You, you never told me it would be so hard
And now you're saying you can't stay
You can't stay so get away
Perfume and innocence to take
I am in love but not enough to wait
So take, take your place down on my bed
I am not the same man that you met
I'll be your lover but I'm not your friend
Let's go all the way

You're driving so take the wheel
So take the wheel
So take the wheel

i think its "i am in love but not enough to wait" not "i am a lover not enough to wait"
Thanks.
"I guess you and I are the ones to blame" is really "I guess the children are the ones to blame."
Thanks.
This song is totally about abortion. Really think about it and I think you'll see what I mean.
yeah, a couple has unprotected sex, the girl gets pregnant. and the guy takes her to get an abortion. It's about the epidemic of being as Rob Bell calls, "animals" and, I think, ignoring spiritual needs that can and must only be fulfilled by God.
I love this song because it is totally different from any other Chirstian band. It's about a couple that has sex against their convictions, she gets pregnant and has an abortion in the second verse. I think the chorus "I'd take it back to have the chance, to see her laugh, to see her dance" the first one is about the girl who's innocence he took, then the second time is about the baby girl he'll never see.
great song! i kinda feel its a shame they didnt stick to this instead of their neweer version of it....i hate listening to a song i really like and then hearing it changed later on.....a personal annoyance of mine, lol
