I think this song is about a girl who is tired of settling for the crappy guys, crappy lifestyle so she's "raising the bar!" A great song to listen to to cheer ya up after a hard breakup or a switch in careers, etc. Love it!

this song is amazing and i can relate to it completely. the past few years i've dated mainly two guys, and both were jerks. i had been lying to myself the whole time i was dating them. and now, i have made a few realizations and i decided that i deserve better! i'm not settling for anything anymore. and that is exactly what this song means. she's "had enough so-so" and she's not settling anymore. the line "find what it means to be the girl, who changed her mind and changed the world" is definitely the best part of the song. its about standing up for what you deserve. no one is happy just settling, so dont!
