All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head, I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, mad world

Children waiting for the day, they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson?
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, mad world
Enlarge your world
Mad world

General CommentThis is a beautiful song. A lot on the depressing side but i love it. It makes me cry everytime I hear it. The only thing I don't like about this song is you can get lost in it. Like a tunnel you can never get out of. A rut. You can go into those deep feelings of hurt if you think about it. Whether for a close friend, yourself, a stranger, or someone all the way across the world. But the bottom line is holes have this cool thing about them. They can be filled. And what is this nonsense about finding God? He's already there! He's got his hand out. Grab it and don't hold onto hurt. IT CAN AND WILL DESTROY YOU IF YOU LET IT. The world is only mad if it thinks there's no hope. Sorrow is part of life and it may seem endless. face it. But then knock it down and keep forward.
