People Lyrics

Swarms of people they move in every direction
Some eyes they wander while others are just glued to their feet
And how I wonder what goes on behind those eyes,
There are lives, growing older and they’re growing wise

So amazed by all the many different faces,
Searching for traces of emotion wondering places they have been
And on occasion, someone will take a look at me,
But do they see a unique person, or am I part of a vast sea

Chorus:
Sing me your song, solve my mystery
I wont do you no harm, just wanted to see
Sing me your song, solve my mystery
I wont do you no harm, just wanted to see
That you’re a person just like me

They are they background of your everyday situation
Look all around you start to wonder really who these people are
They might be watching, wondering quite the same of you
So break this auto pilot path and try to start something new

Chorus

The ideas placed in this song speaks what I think everytime I enter a crowd. You know how sometimes you think things and wonder if others think the same way? Well this was one of those things & I am glad she wrote a song describing the thought process of it. I especially relate to the line 'I wont do you no harm, just wanted to see That you're a person just like me,' because that way of thinking is exactly how I function. I see every person as myself, the similarities and such, seeing how the mind works. It is a perspective that is extreme eye opening, and often times expells hatred.

I do not want to say that the meaning of this song is self-explanitory, because I hate it when other people say that & I have no clue what a certain lyric is supposed to mean, but this song basically says what it means. Seeing people in a crowd and wondering about their lives and seeing how they are people just like you.
