I think it's honestly about being suicidal. And deciding to keep living. It really makes me think of something I heard one time. "Courage isn't always a loud roar. Sometimes, it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.'" That's what this makes me think of. Which could explain the title 'Hope Song.'
