One of the best song i ever heard! There first part is so true... I never though this could be me I guess you never do until it's happening to you Thank you Nathan!
I think this song is about being so fed up with trying to fit into everyone else's mold and being fed up with not being yourself. I think the singer realized how long he's been being fake to everyone around him and that he doesn't want to be fake to fit into the mold anymore, he just wants to be himself.
I think it's also about how easily manipulated people are to "follow the crowd" and how this pressure to follow the crowd is detrimental to trust, love, friendship... "Trust no one. Hey, why should I?"

as i look back apon what i used to say and the things i have done this song makes very much sence. i am who i never saw my self being. and i can look at the younger generation below me and say wow i see alot of my self.. then say sucks for them they're goin to fuck up just like me.
