This such an incredibly beautiful song.
It's about looking for hope in your most painful times.
To me it sings of sorrow when a loved one dies or leaves you. In a world where you can so easily "drown" you need that loved one's hope ... but how do you continue on without them???
My wife rescued me from a similar state of mind I was in many moons ago.
