i know the ppl in this band i know that this song is about nathaniel's (lead singer and piano) friend audre.. audres sister's boyfriend had died and nathaniel wrote this song to audres sister because of boyfriends death...
This song is absolutely amazing. Personally, I love John O'Callaghan [from The Maine]'s version more. But the song is brilliant in itself. It's heartbreaking to hear, but you can't stop listening.
I like this Nathaniel's version better. I usually prefer the originals. The Maine is just too poppy IMO to get the same message across as Nathaniel/Ivory(?) John's version isn't bad, but it just doesn't hit me the same way. Can't wait till these songs are up for DL.
Nath's version is way better than Johns. John doesn't even play guitar in his. He sings over all the instrumentals. And I don't see how it's so heartbreaking including when it's a cover. Nathaniel's version is way better and more personal.
It's a shame this band is getting recognized after all these years because of a pop band. Too bad they broke up.

I like both just the same. I think Nathaniel's voice and John's voice are totally different. I'm glad John did the cover because it made me discover Ivory. They just played with my friend's band Bearhug but I missed it
