Heavy On It Lyrics
Hello my wife, at last
There are so many things Ive to ask
We spoke before of Francis cross
A red masked maid is said to have bought
But Im not thinking about this again
Until that cross is round my neck
Its just so strange my heart is heavy on it
Hello suspicious one
I told you I tire of dreary sun
But now my eyes wont believe
The prettiest flower girl Ive seen
But Im not thinking about this again
Until her fingers drape my bed
Its just so strange
As colors grew in side of me
Azaleas to willow trees
I felt the love of siren seas
And for a moment I was alive
There are so many things Ive to ask
We spoke before of Francis cross
A red masked maid is said to have bought
Until that cross is round my neck
I told you I tire of dreary sun
But now my eyes wont believe
The prettiest flower girl Ive seen
Until her fingers drape my bed
Azaleas to willow trees
I felt the love of siren seas
And for a moment I was alive

wow... i'm really surprised that there aren't any comments for this song yet... i heard this one through Pandora (which i recommend to all who love to find new music) and it gripped me for some reason. i was drawn by the guitar chords and piano melodies. as he talks about how "strange my heart is heavy on it" i figure he means that his heart wants something and he doesn't know why. confused what "this" refers to in the chorus. i'm almost wondering if he's had an affair with this maid he speaks of and felt alive when he was with her... since i'm new to IRF, i really don't know how to read their lyrics yet.
I love the beat to this song. I rock so hard on it... haha
he's saying his heart is heavy on wanting the cross.. but why? I think it's aout being compulsive and impulsive. he want anything of value he sees. and doesn't care what it takes to accomplish his goals.
and the last verse is his reflection on it all. how it's only for a moment he feels the completeness of himself with whatever he's been wanting.
beautiful words all over.....oh man. :)
