His smile makes my heart thud so loud sometimes I think he can hear it. My friends are fed up with my fantasy with Jackson. But I'll never give up.

I agree with lucci071. She knows he'll go on to do amazing things in his life, but somehow wishes that he'll end up back in her life, and if not she hopes he'll stay the great person that he is. I feel the exact way about my ex. =)
ok, so Honestly didnt care enough to looke through everyones comments, but my interpretation is because of a recent situation, where the girl really loves or likes the guy, everytime he is anywhere near her, he pretty much makes her day. Even if he can't see it, she knows he's going to be great at whatever he does. As much as she wants to be with him, its more important that he knows he is a beautiful person and going to be great. and most importantly, even if she never sees him again, he needs to stay true to him self. Stay beautiful, don't ever change <3
I think this is a song about a guy that doesn't know that every girl dreams of being with that is just very sweet. A girl likes him, but for some reason they can never be together. So she lets him go, but hopes that after everything he wants to do is over he'll come back to her.
I don't think this song is really about someone leaving. It never really indicates that anyone is leaving- you can take it that way, if you want- but I always thought the song was more about just loving someone, but if you can't be with them one day, you just want them to stay beautiful. But pretty much the same thing, I guess. And in songs, you can take them how you want, anyways. :) Either way, great song.

to me i think this song is just about a boy shes grown up with and learned to love as a friend and more, and hopes nothing but the best when he leaves the town, but i think deep inside she hopes that somehow he will walk back into her life.
instead of "I hope your love leads you back to my door, oh, but if you don't," its "i hope your LIFE leads you back to my front door but if IT don't" but yea i love this song
