I Want To Know Your Plans (Alternate Version) Lyrics
I want to know your plans, and how involved in them I am.
When you leave for good this fall, will I be forgiven?
And If you want roses, I'll buy a bouquet.
If that just won't cut it, what can I say?
You're what keeps me believing this world's not long dead.
Strength in my bones and the words in my head.
They pour out to paper, it's all for you
'Cause that's what you do. That's what you do.
I want to know your fears, and if you'll forget me next year
And when the jets go up and out, will our hearts stay here?
If you could forgive me (forgive me) for being so brash.
You could hit me or whip me, I'd savor each lash.
You're what keeps me believing this world's not long dead.
Strength in my bones and the words in my head.
They pour out to paper, it's all for you
Cause that's what you do
No more fighting.
It is only a waste of our time.
'Cause soon we'll be leaving,
will this strength still be mine?
I'll look out for you till I die
Till I'm gone... yeah
I'll remember you till I die (till I die)
Till I'm gone.
You're what keeps me believing this world's not long dead.
Strength in my bones and the words in my head.
They pour out to paper, it's all for you

I would just point out that this is the original version, while the extend cut was released years later under the "...Is a real boy" album.
I posted this up because the version that i have is different the one previously up.
I like this version much more than the other one. It sounds less tacky to me, and the little difference in lyrics makes it sound more lyricly subtle i think
I like this one better. This song is amazing, beautiful and perfect
You're what keeps me believing this world's not long dead. Strength in my bones and the words in my head.
best line ever
This song is not a cover. It is sung by Max, just with different lyrics, like the two versions of That is Why.
Personally, I like the CD version better. It has much more meaning to me.
this is the version off of Menorah\Majora, which was the first say anything i ever heard, actually. i like this one better, except for the pretty nasty drum machine. but that's just me.
i like both versions. i absolutely love this song. i think they both have the same general meaning. he loves someone and wants to know if they see him in their future (i want to know your plans and how involved in them i am). but it seems like this one is a little more specific. the person he loves is going away in the fall, maybe off to college or something? (when you leave for good this fall will i be forgiven) and he doesn't know if it will last or if they'll forget him once they go away (i want to know your fears and if you'll forget me next year/when the jets go up and out will our hearts stay here). i completely relate to this version. cause i'm in that whole person-you-love-is-going-away-to-college-soon situation. so i guess that's why i like it a little more.
i don't like this version as much. "i'll buy a boquet," it's just so tacky. the album version is just so much more brutally honest and still sweet.
I think this version vs the other one are like that is why vs you should rock my world, he wrote the song when falling in love, and then changed the song a bit after it fell apart.
just a thought =p
I like both version's. This song is so sweet. (:
"You cloud hit me or whip me, and I'd savor each lash" ^^ Amazing lyric. :D
