Lights Go Down Lyrics
When the lights go down
That's when we bust just a little
Bust just a little more
When the lights go down, down
That's when I die just a little
Wanna get high just a little more
When the curtain falls
And there's no more applause
When the party's over
And there's no one to hold ya
Look inside yourself and find
Your own light in your mind
When the lights go down
That's when we bust just a little
Bust just a little more
When the lights go down
That's when I die just a little
Wanna get high just a little more
When the curtain falls
And there's no more applause
When the party's over
And there's no one to hold ya
Look inside yourself and find
Your own light in your mind
When the lights go down
That's when we bust just a little
Bust just a little more

That's when I die just a little
Wanna get high just a little more
That's when we bust just a little

That's when I die just a little
Wanna get high just a little more

This is one of the best songs i've ever heard.
It's obviously about the loneliness that a performer feels when they are no longer onstage.
When performing - you have a feeling that everybody loves you and wants to know you but as soon as the lights go down and the curtains close, you realise that you are in fact extremely lonely.
As a stand-up comedian, I often play this track on my way home from gigs to tell myself that other people feel exactly the same as me.
BTW i hear
That's when it Bites just a little, Bites just a little more.
which is referring to the loneliness biting into you.
I Would agree with Steve but I think this song can relate to so many more individuals,

I believe this song is for all individuals who have experienced greatness the feelings of being wanted such as retired sports stars people who are really valued in their field of work and when they retire or their success leaves for what ever reason the curtain has gone down on the greater part of their life hence the feeling of being lonely and not as desired as they were in the past

I believe that this song applies to everyone, a feeling of being totally alone and shut out to the world.
Like bed time, with the lights off and you actually have no company but your own thoughts.
