Reprise Lyrics

My love's another kind. From the first morning light, I can follow along, chance to stumble and find, what turns out to be wrong. And my love's another kind. From the top, children yell. You can't talk to me now. You can search for a while, when you're rumbling around.

To me this song seems to be about how we look and look for love that is true and makes us happy, and that maybe you only find it once. And in this song it seems that the speaker has found his love, but his love is not with him at the moment and is out "rambling around" trying to find a love that they already had with the speaker. The speaker is maybe implying that to search will be futile because the person already found that once in a life time love with him, and maybe hopes, eventually, they will realize that and come back. Im not really sure what "from the top, children yell" means though.

I'm not good at analyzing lyrics so I won't even try. But this song is just amazing, and heartbreaking and beautiful ~

Trying to determine what the writer meant is sometimes difficult to impossible, but I'd like to think he means the love that really takes sometime to find truly. I like the "You can search for a while, when you're rumbling around"

The "my love's another kind" always gets me. Edward so personal with wrtiting. There is such a double meaning on this, since his love is "another kind."

This is the music you always listen to before daydreaming, or locked up in the car, while it's raining-just being melancholy.

This song wasn't written by Ed alone. It's a collaborative effort. Any who the "my love's another kind" line comes from the song "Lullabye", which was written by Daniel.

A lot of the songs were already written prior to the album by both Daniel and Ed separately.

I like to think it's about second chances.

I think it's written for a person who doesn't appreciate the other person's love. They can't understand the other person's love because it's another kind. So, the other person says, go rumble around for awhile and maybe you'll realize what you have with me.

...and this one reminds me of Newsom's Does Not Suffice and Death Cab's Company Calls Epilogue. Heartbreaking.

I always thought it sounded like they were saying "I love another girl" and listening to it more I still think so. A double-meaning maybe, maybe not, but still very moving.

Lyric Correction

This song dissects every sense in my god damn body. Proof of an infinite amount of talent produced by a set of very talented artists.

Sounds more like "ambling around" than "rumbling around" to me.
