I really like the way Damien is telling this story. First he tells he's near a house, that someone calls him for help, the windows of the house were shot out, then it's his brother (!) who is lying on the floor and his mother is screaming. Then the song says "Killed by a bullet", so he's dead. "...from a jealous gun" and "seen by her lover the night before". So there was a girl. But who was this "lover" that sweared "to kill him outside her door"? The song is called "I had no intentions". So, it seems to me that HE (the teller) is the killer of his brother?! OMG?! What do you think? Let me know!
@jjansen That's a really interesting point of view for this song, and I can see where you get it too now that you mention it. I had a different interpretation for the song when I listened to it. To me, the title is something that would have been said by the shooter of the dead brother. By "I had no intentions" I think the shooter means it was a crime of passion and not something he planned on doing. But then the lyrics tell the story behind the killing through the eyes of a loved one and it becomes...

By "I had no intentions" I think the shooter means it was a crime of passion and not something he planned on doing. But then the lyrics tell the story behind the killing through the eyes of a loved one and it becomes clear that it isn't a crime of passion and that it was instead caused by jealousy.
