UNEEDMEMORETHANINEEDU Lyrics
To call it silence
To call it smarts
Come together some
It's slow but it works
Sucker !
Before you come on down...
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Spin around
Spin around
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you
To call it smarts
Come together some
It's slow but it works
Sucker !
Before you come on down...
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Spin around
Well now you need me more than I need you
Talk to me, selves, Spin around
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you

woo first comment..
I LOVE THIS SONG!
it's really really good... it's like proper old Placebo!
the lyrics don't make alot of sense and Brian (assuming it is him) has a very wierd vocal track with lots of distortion and effects..
but i just it's assume about someone who looked for help in the eyes of a lover or somesuch.. and was refused it, but then the tables turned and now she needs him more than he needs her
Couldn't it be "Well I need me more than I need you" ? Placebo titles aren't ever the same as the phrases in the text ... just a suggestion.
From my interpretation the lyrics are ..
'So far it works' instead of 'Its slow but it works' And 'Somebody says spin around' instead of 'talk to me, selves, spin around'
I might be wrong. And yeah i agree with sweet prince it does sound like its 'Well i need me more than i need you'
Rest are good though well done!
These lyrics are really hard to intepret but when I in terpretted them they sounded a lot different. Not sure which one is more accurate.
To call in silence To call in starts Come together some And so far it works So call Before you come down...
Somebody says He's been around And somebody says It's been around... It's been around... It's been around...
Well now you need me more than I need you Well now you need me more than I need you
Somebody says... He's been around And somebody says It's been around...
Well now you need me more than I need you Well now you need me more than I need you
Well now you need me more than I need you Well now you need me more than I need you...
As the concensus states, this song is EXTREMELY hard to decipher, but that is typical Brian Molko genius.
Now, as much as I love what Fate Unknown said about it possibly being "I need me more than I need you," I think it might also be "you'll need me more than I need you." But as was said, it's too hard to tell.
It's a great song though, wish they played it live during this tour. tear
It sounds more like; well you won't need me more than I need you.
sry* but it can also be; well I won't need me more than I need you?
firstly, (in response to sweet prince) placebo regularly use their lyrics as song names. My Sweet Prince (which i assume your screen name is from, is one example). others include Meds, because i want you, Nancy Boy this picture, special k, taste in men etc. lots and lots.
as it's an out take from the meds sessions, i guess there must be the drug/narcotic reference. perhaps try imagining this song to the video for 'meds' (the single it was released with). blurryness, hard to decipher lyrics, mumbling- isn't it someone on a drug binge? who NEEDS the other in a drug/junkie relationship? it's a kinda mutual thing but where would the junkie be without his drugs and, more importantly, where would the drug be without the junkie?
meh, that's my 2 cents.
hm i think it says:
Stop research He's been around / Spin around (i'm not sure) (...)
and it actually says: now you need me more than I need you, cos i heard it with the speakers almost inside my ears and he says it, in a strange way, but he says it.
Still researching this one, but it makes me think of the "Death of Nancy Boy" photos and the lyrics of "Space Monkey", and is therefore a sort-of kiss-off to some of the more obsessive fans.
[Some might find that uncharitable, but it's easy to forget--in the modern atmosphere of instant stardom and all the cloying publicity shite ("we love our fans, so buy the re-issue!")--again, it's easy to forget that, aside from quality product for money spent, an artist doesn't "owe" their admirers a damn thing. If you're an artist, you write, you sing, you paint, whatever--because you have that drive, that fucking need in you. The rest is details.]
