This song has a really dreamy, languid sound to it, it's awesome.
I think it's about an internal battle - you do and you don't want to fall in love again. The narrator wants to experience all the good things that go with being in love - they want that amazing stuff, but they're also afraid of being hurt. Perhaps they've been hurt in the past...maybe they're telling themselves they're more immune to falling in love than they really are.
I really love the last line."And this love you fear is such a precious thing." Gorgeous, and so true.
This type of music genre does'nt not normally get my intrest, but this song is so great I have listened to it around 40 times just today, she has broadend my mind to listen to other artists who perform these meaningful songs.
I think it is about someone who is afraid to fall in love. Someone who has tried to hold it in. Perhaps They're a "fighter" because they're trying really hard to not fall in love but obviously they're losing the fight because they are slowly falling in love (?)
