A New Beggining Lyrics
Face down on the way to the end,
I'm fighting to breathe, dont bury me
Consume our lives, control our minds
I've taken the strength that was left behind
I'm pulling deeper from within
(deeper from within),
the answers bleeding through my skin
Serenity dies
If i could breathe again
(if i could breathe again),
I'd choose a new beginning
(a new beginning)
Salvation will save us all,
the lacerations will heal
Rise beyond the threshold,
surpass all obsruction
We will survive
I'm falling away from this artificial life
Omit treason cast upon thee,
my revelations, beginning a new life
I'm fighting to breathe, dont bury me
Consume our lives, control our minds
I've taken the strength that was left behind
(deeper from within),
the answers bleeding through my skin
Serenity dies
(if i could breathe again),
I'd choose a new beginning
(a new beginning)
the lacerations will heal
Rise beyond the threshold,
surpass all obsruction
We will survive
my revelations, beginning a new life

more people need to listen to this band for two really good reasons, 1)they're awesome and 2) they're canadian, which increases awesomeness exponentially

agreed i think the first verse about all the shittyness happening... face down all the way to the end etc and ive taken the strength that was left behind is foreshadowing verse 2 how hes gunna try to survive and the chorus is about wanting to start life or a sequence of events over again but not being able to(if i could breathe again)
I jump from many different favorite bands and opinions on each one them as I listen, and Threat Signal delivers. One thing i've noticed about Threat Signal is that they allude to a message that considers not actual death (except for in a few exceptions), but more of an emotional one, and A New Beginning is no exception. In the first verse, the band describes an entity (possibly a reference to political constraint or internal struggle based on something he/she has done in the past that they now regret) that puts the individual through pain and suffering. By the start of the chorus, it is evident that this person feels they have died on the inside (and only merely exist at this point), and that they now strive for another chance and a better life. Verse two offers new hope and greater light on the situation, as the band explains that the will to survive has the ability to initiate this new beginning. The quotes "I'm falling away from this artificial life" suggest that he/she was in fact living in a meaningless existence, but is escaping it with new hope. Finally, in the last verse, it is revealed that the individual was ridiculed for something (that they probably didn't deserve to be accused for), and they exclaim that they have succeeded in surpassing this accusation and beginning a new life.
