Actions, or Lack Thereof

I sit at home and watch the clock
I wonder if it’s all I’ve got
Why take action if its not gonna make a difference
Money and corrupted dreams
People all fighting to pursue these things
We all focus on ourselves
Well I’m not gonna stand around and let this happen
But then again, it brings a slight satisfaction to me
Why did you let this happen
I wish sometimes that you would save the day
And why don’t you pick up where we left off
And make the indecision go away
Wondering if I’ll have the time
Searching for a reason to say I’m fine
All the while I’m stuck in a plastic congregation
I watch these people take down notes
Then I watch them hold their throats
Gasping air that steals their dreams
