Oh, Beauty was a tiger
And she blew her daddy's money
She'll take you to the river
But she don't know how to swim

There's more to her than madness
She'll always keep you guessin'
And she'll take you for a ride
But she don't know who or when

'Cause nobody waits
I'm feelin' the same
She's got a new edge, yeah
She's got a new name
She had nothin' to hide
She couldn't be more
She's just a private school kid
School kid, whore

Now, Beauty was a stranger
She don't know rhyme or reason
She's helpin' our destruction
So you'd better treat her right

She's totally addicted
She can't see what she's doin'
She's always had pretensions
So you'd better treat her right

'Cause nobody waits
I'm feelin' the same
She's got a new edge, yeah
She's got a new name
She had nothin' to hide
She couldn't be more
She's just a private school kid

She's lookin' for strife
You're goin' insane
She's draggin' it down, yeah
The family name
She had nothin' to hide
She couldn't be more
She's just a private school kid
School kid, whore

'Cause nobody waits
I'm feelin' the same
She's got a new edge, yeah
She's got a new name
She's got time on her side
She couldn't be more
She's just a private school kid

She's lookin' for strife
You're goin' insane
She's draggin' it down, yeah
The family name
She's got time on her side
She couldn't be more
She's just a private school kid
School kid, whore

omg i cant believe no one else has commented this song!

this has got to be one of the greatest songs of all time, Sarah McLeod's voice is just so brilliant and amaaazing and husky and sexy! Lovveee it. Every single song by Sarah McLeod is the best.

as for what this song means - just a girl who goes/went to a private school and wants to rebel, or has rebelled. I think its about Sarah because shes from the city i live in, (adelaide, south australia) and she went to one of the poshest private schools, her dads really rich. and the whole thing of her cutting all her hair and becoming a rock chick could be the rebellion bit. or she could be a drug addict haha.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
